London – January 25, 2017—Videology, a leading software provider for converged TV and Video advertising solutions, today announced that Tim Gentry has been named as Senior Vice President, Advertiser and Agency, EMEA.
Previously Global Revenue Director at The Guardian, and widely regarded as a pioneer in programmatic advertising, Tim will contribute his unparalleled industry knowledge and over 20 years of experience to Videology’s European business.
Gentry will commence his role in early March, reporting into Videology’s EMEA Managing Director, Jana Eisenstein, and will lead a team of over 40 people across the region.
“Our EMEA business has delivered consistently strong growth over the past 6 years in terms of revenue, client diversity and product progression. As agencies and advertisers increasingly embrace programmatic technologies, Videology has emerged as a market leader for TV and video advertising solutions and Tim’s experience will be invaluable as we continue to grow our presence in the region,” said Eisenstein.
Based in London, Gentry will be part of Videology’s EMEA leadership team and will be responsible for overseeing Videology’s existing agency and advertiser clients across Europe, while also extending the Videology footprint and onboarding new clients.
Gentry has well over 20 years of media experience, much of it at The Guardian where he was responsible for leading the business through a range of transformations, including merging print and digital sales; the creation of the world’s first publisher-side programmatic sales team; the development of cross-platform digital solutions; and the creation of The Pangaea Alliance. Most recently, he was Global Revenue Director, responsible for digital advertising and agency relationships globally.
“After 20 brilliant years at the heart of digital transformation at The Guardian, I was keen to transition that experience into a new environment. For me, the most exciting area of digital disruption today is the convergence of TV and digital, and Videology has been pioneering change in this sector from its inception. The team is leading the way at this crucial point in the journey to bring advanced technology and data to television. I’m delighted to be joining Jana, Ryan and the team to help build upon that position,” said Gentry.
“Tim’s pedigree in developing and delivering progressive market-leading digital solutions, aligned with his deep industry experience, extensive client relationships, and outstanding thought leadership, makes him remarkably well-suited to lead Videology EMEA toward our next phase of growth,” added Eisenstein.
